We talked in an earlier blog about the weekend in the US and the regions of the US.

And there is an interplay of the regions and what you might expect from your customers, employees and contacts in each region. Every person is different but there are some big regional variations in how the people in the US spend their weekends.

In some US states up to 51% of the population attends church weekly while in other states the attendance rate is as low as 17%. This will both change the time allocation of people and their topics of conversation.

As you look deeper into attendance rates you’ll also see the variations correspond to US regions.

Some US States are noted to be more “outdoorsy” or have higher outdoor activity participation than others.

The participation in church, being outdoors and other factors can really impact how the portion of the US you are dealing with spends their weekends.

It’s definitely something to dig into as you prepare yourself for your journey of Doing Business in the US.  We cover US work ethic and holidays in the Doing Business in the US Course.

We’ll be jumping into some more interested topics this week.  Make sure you and your friends are signed up for our regular communications.
