If we see one thing in American folklore it’s the struggle.

America is a country built on struggle. Many came here and died on the way, died when they got here or died on their journey to success. It’s that tough.

Now in modern times death is much less common.

People fail, lose money, go homeless (many many successful people in the US were once homeless – I think there is a reason for that and you’ll find it in my other articles) or take major set-backs attempting to get to success.

And you know what?

Americans love it when that happens to someone – and they make it to the other side.

Make no mistake – Americans don’t love you when you are struggling. That, my friend, is a lonely place.

No, they love you when you have struggle but now you’ve made it.

Why does this matter?

This matters to you because if you want to make it in the US your story of struggle should be part of what you covey.

In American marketing people want to know your story.

So don’t hide it.  Tell folks. Show folks. Be real.
